Payroll Staff

The Payroll Staff is responsible for accurately processing employee salaries, benefits, deductions, and other payroll-related transactions in a timely and confidential manner. The role ensures compliance with company policies, government regulations, and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and compute employees' salaries, allowances, and deductions on a regular (e.g., semi-monthly/monthly) basis
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursements
- Maintain and update payroll records, including attendance, overtime, leaves, and other adjustments
- Handle government contributions and deductions (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax)
- Generate and distribute payslips to employees
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management and audits
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory reporting requirements
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and employee concerns regarding salaries
- Coordinate with HR and Accounting for any employee movements affecting payroll (e.g., new hires, resignations, promotions)
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information
- Perform other payroll or administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or related work (experience in [insert payroll system, e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or local payroll software] is a plus)
- Knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
