We are hiring for multiple locations across Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Pampanga, and Laguna (check Bebang Halo-Halo's Social Media Pages for the store locations that we have).

Position Overview

The Assistant Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operations of the Back of House (BOH) production area across Bebang Halo-Halo stores. The role is primarily responsible for controlling production processes, monitoring food cost variance, and enforcing operational standards to maintain product quality, efficiency, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Production & BOH Control

  • Supervise day-to-day BOH operations to ensure smooth product preparation and consistent product quality.
  • Enforce standard recipes, portion sizes, and preparation methods to maintain consistency across all stores.
  • Monitor production workflow to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and avoid production bottlenecks.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools.

Food Cost & Inventory Management

  • Track and control food cost variance by monitoring ingredient usage, minimizing wastage, and ensuring proper portioning.
  • Conduct daily/weekly inventory checks of frozen milk, toppings, and key ingredients.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper storage standards are followed at all times.

  • Investigate variances between actual vs. theoretical food cost and implement corrective measures.

  • Coordinate with supply chain/purchasing team for timely ordering and replenishment.People Management & Compliance

  • Assist the Store Supervisor in managing BOH staff schedules and task assignments.

  • Train and guide BOH staff on food preparation standards, cleanliness, and safety procedures.

  • Enforce compliance with company policies (uniforms, sanitation, food safety, and cash handling when applicable).

  • Provide feedback and coaching to BOH staff to improve efficiency and minimize errors.Operations & Reporting

  • Support the Store Supervisor in daily operational needs, particularly in BOH management.

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on production output, wastage, and food cost variance.
  • Escalate recurring issues (quality, staff, or supply-related) to the Store/Area Supervisor.
  • Ensure all BOH practices comply with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in food & beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory or BOH role.

  • Strong understanding of food cost management and variance analysis.

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and BOH production operations.

  • Good leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel for variance tracking) and POS systems (preferred).
