· Performs site visits/inspections to the assigned projects at least once per shift, if possible, coordinates with the project manager;

· Does risk assessment and recommend revision if necessary;

· Assists in coaching, mentoring and implementing HSSE programs on site;

· Regularly reviews and familiarizes himself with all applicable legislation and applicable standards to ensure compliance;

· Informs the project management team and foremen of any new or conflictive legislative matters that could result to high severity cases to the project;

· Regularly audits the SSMP for compliance and updates to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions;

· Monitors and checks all Daily HSSE Observation Reports for proper close out;

· Assists in resolving HSSE pending issues;

· Ensures that all incidents are properly & timely reported;

· Participates and assists the engineers, supervisors, foremen and safety officers in conducting investigation to incidents to determine root cause and recommends corrective actions where necessary;

· Ensures that incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed;

· Monitors and follow up on modified works in the field;

· Review safety standards and requirements of the client; and ensures they are carried out as per the terms of the agreement, and communicates to Project Manager, Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen and Safety Officers;

· Ensures safety bulletin board postings includes but not limited to: Health and safety policy, Site HSSE Organizational Chart, Emergency Plan, inspection and audit results, project hazard assessment (Class 1 Risk), safety memos, safe man-hour, location of first aid kit, etc. are maintained and updated;

· Monitors statistic report;

· Ensures all reports and compliances submitted to DOLE and other legislation requirements pertaining safety and environment are submitted on time and all documents are properly archived;

· Ensures that the following materials are available and on site: FFCCI HSSE Manual, risk assessment, the applicable legislation and regulations, site safety inspection forms, daily HSSE observation report forms, emergency plan & procedures, TBT attendance, PTW's, CSHP etc.;

· Conducts random inspection for all safety signage, safety devices and other tools to ensure safe use;

· Communicates, coaches and assists the field staff to ensure that all HSSE objectives and targets are understood and met;

· Coordinates regular meetings with project safety team to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events;

· Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the corporate safety manager.

· To ensure compliance of all QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY and HEALTH standards, requirements and procedures (e.g. use of proper forms, Standard Operating Procedures, use of appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment, attend tool box meeting, observe waste segregation, submit to security procedures when required, etc.
