Production Operator

URC is looking for a Production Operator.

The Production Operator operates specific machine/s assigned to him following standard operating procedures and ensures that they are in good running condition. Responsible for producing goods within standard specifications at the right time at a minimum cost. Performs corrective maintenance in case machine breaks down and conducts preventive maintenance as planned.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

• Prepares and checks quality of all the materials needed for the scheduled operation.
• Cleans, sanitizes and prepares the machine/s and surrounding area before operations in accordance with standard cleaning and start-up procedures.
• Checks if machine/s are in good running condition.
• Operates the machine/s in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Procedures, Company rules and regulations.
• Performs On-line QC and checks in process / finished product specifications on the required frequency to ensure good quality products.
• Conducts daily inventory of raw, packaging, cleaning materials, consumables, and finished goods depending on machine being operated.
• Performs corrective maintenance in case of machine breakdown and ensure to bring back in normal operating condition.
• Accomplishes and signs production reports (forms and logbooks) and inventory reports.
• Reports all matters affecting machine operation and product quality to Production Supervisor or Production Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensures proper turnover of the machine operation to his reliever.
• Coordinates with other machine operators.
• Ensures machines are properly shut down and all materials (good and rejects) are properly segregated, weighed, labeled and placed in designated areas.
• Conducts general cleaning of machine and surroundings as per Standard Cleaning Procedures
• Ensures that all machine parts / accessories and tools are in placed/ secured and machines are turned-off before leaving the area.
• Conducts weekly machine audits and performs preventive maintenance on the machine as per plan.

What are the Qualifications?

• Must be a graduate of Engineering or any 2 yrs vocational technical course.
• Can operate machine preferably with at least two years experience and knowledge in production and maintenance functions in a food manufacturing set-up.
• Can work under pressure and with less supervision, hardworking and flexible.
• Can perform corrective and preventive maintenance of machine.
