The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the cosmetics manufacturing facility, including production, warehouse, procurement, and logistics. This role ensures efficiency, compliance with regulatory standards, product quality, and timely delivery. The Operations Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, and continuously improve processes to support the company's growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management:
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and daily production schedules to meet demand and customer requirements in terms of quantity, quality, and timelines.
  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from raw material to finished product
  • Implement lean manufacturing and cost-saving initiatives to optimize resources.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cosmetic regulatory standards
  • Warehouse & Logistics:
  • Oversee inventory management, stock movement, and warehouse organization.
  • Monitor and Ensure accurate documentation and timely distribution of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Manage warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Forecast demand to align production with market requirements.
  • Quality & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, and internal SOPs.
  • Implement and monitor adherence to FDA Philippines (LTO, CPR, GMP) requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams for in-process and finished product testing..

  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Monitor procurement of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing team to ensure adequate and cost-effective supply of raw materials and packaging.
  • Forecast demand to align production with market requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, supervise, train, and support production staff, supervisors and support teams across operations.
  • Provide training and performance evaluations to enhance workforce skills.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement

o Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimize wastage.

o Implement lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.

o Monitor KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), production yield, downtime, and rejection rates.

  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Enforce workplace safety standards and compliance with labor laws.
  • Ensure environmental and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Reporting & Strategic Planning:

o Prepare and present operational performance reports for top management review.

o Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and long-term operational goals.

o Colaborate closely with R&D, QA/QC, Logistics, and Sales teams to support new product launches.

o Support audits (internal, FDA, third-party certifications).
