Role Overview

The Part-time Conversion Tracking Expert is a technical specialist responsible for the end-to-end setup and validation of conversion tracking systems. This is a critical role that directly impacts our ability to optimize campaigns and prove value to our clients. You will work independently on a project-by-project basis to implement solutions that ensure all marketing channels, from ads to CRMs, are reporting the same verifiable data.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation & Configuration: Design and implement a complete conversion tracking system for various clients across different industries.
  • Technical Audits: Perform detailed audits of existing tracking setups to identify and resolve issues such as data discrepancies, duplicate conversions, or improper attribution.
  • Platform Integration: Set up and manage integrations between ad platforms (Google, Meta) and analytics platforms (GA4, GTM, BigQuery) with client CRMs and other reporting tools.
  • Quality Assurance: Use tools like Tag Assistant and Google Analytics DebugView to rigorously test and validate that all tags and events are firing correctly and accurately.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix complex tracking issues, including cross-domain tracking problems, form submission issues, and data layer errors.
  • Documentation: Create clear, concise documentation of all setups, including tag plans, data flows, and testing protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically focused on conversion tracking and analytics implementation.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Google Tag Manager (GTM), including custom events, variables, and triggers.
  • Hands-on experience with GA4, including setting up custom dimensions and metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and troubleshooting Google Ads, Meta Ads conversion pixels and APIs.
  • Proficiency in setting up data connections to Google BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with various CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) and how to pass conversion data to them.
