Lead Server Administrator and Developer (GIS)The GIS Application Programmer will collaborate with key specialists to identify technical requirements, design and maintain GIS server architecture, ensure performance and security, support geospatial data library setup, and manage access in line with company regulations. Scope of Work/ResponsibilitiesOperate and manage the company's current GIS Server (SPADE) daily, including access management, security, performance testing, and backups.

Migrate SPADE from AWS to Azure, set up on development, staging, and production servers following ITD procedures, and provide updated database and access credentials for the production version. Shut down SPADE on AWS after migration to Azure. Apply security patches and bug fixes routinely.

Update the GeoNode instance with major and relevant new versions (LTR) when available. Monitor the GIS Server (production), communicate resource needs, and perform regular backups. Support company Map-App developers in using and integrating with the GIS Server and spatial database, including technical advice and access tokens.

Contribute to planning a long-term Enterprise GIS, focusing on scaling, architecture, and server administration. Perform any other tasks deemed necessary by ITD GIS.Technical DocumentationTechnical Requirements Document: Details for deploying and operating the GIS server. GIS Server Setup Report: Documentation of software setup and maintenance across environments.

Performance Monitoring Report: Regular updates on software performance and resource needs. QualificationsUniversity degree in computer science, IT, Geography, or related fields. Minimum 5 years' experience with GIS server setup, development, and maintenance.

Knowledge of the company's IT environment, security regulations, and guidelines. Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong communication skills.
