
General Accoutning Officer

1. General Ledger Maintenance
- Perform monthly and annual closing activities.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
2. Financial Reporting
- Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in preparing and presenting management reports.
3. Audit Support
- Prepare documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.
- Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized audit trails.
4. Accounting Systems and Processes
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems for financial management.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
5. Standards and Compliance
- Institute internal safeguards for funds, assets, and company properties, and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Monitor project compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Enforce adherence to the Employee Code of Conduct.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
6. Workforce Engagement
- Assist in employee selection, hiring, training, placement, movement, and recognition programs.
- Regularly evaluate the performance of direct reports.
7. Ad Hoc Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned, either individually or as part of a committee.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in general accounting or related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
