1. General Ledger Maintenance

  • Perform monthly and annual closing activities.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting management reports.

3. Audit Support

  • Prepare documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized audit trails.

4. Accounting Systems and Processes

  • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems for financial management.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

5. Standards and Compliance

  • Institute internal safeguards for funds, assets, and company properties, and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor project compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce adherence to the Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

6. Workforce Engagement

  • Assist in employee selection, hiring, training, placement, movement, and recognition programs.
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of direct reports.

7. Ad Hoc Duties

  • Perform other tasks as assigned, either individually or as part of a committee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in general accounting or related role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
