
Land Paralegal Officer

1. Position Summary:
The Land Paralegal Officer shall ensure all land-related contracts and documentation, transactions, and engagements are legally compliant and protect the company's interest.
He / she provides expert positioned resolution to the management with regards to land acquisition needs and issues of the Company's projects within the legal perspective.
2. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Legal Documentation & Review
- Draft, review, and finalize land-related legal documents such as lease agreements, easements, rights-of-way (ROW), and access agreements.
- Validate the authenticity and completeness of property ownership documents (e.g., titles, tax declarations, survey plans).
- Conduct legal due diligence and provide legal opinions on land acquisition risks.
- Participate in landowner negotiations and mediation sessions to help resolve disputes fairly and legally.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, regulatory matters, or complex land-related concerns.
Compliance & Legal Research
- Ensure the company complies with land-related laws and regulations, including those from DAR, DENR, NCIP, and the Registry of Deeds.
- Conduct legal research and provide expert insights on ownership, zoning, expropriation, conversion, and other land-related matters.
- Stay updated on laws, procedures, and best practices concerning land acquisition and property rights.
Records Management & Internal Coordination
- Organize and maintain a secure digital and physical filing system for legal documents and agreements.
- Coordinate with the Land Officer to ensure alignment of legal documentation with fieldwork and government submissions.
- Collaborate with the Technical Team to ensure legal compliance and documentation aligns with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Other Task
- Perform general ad-hoc legal tasks as may be assigned to support land acquisition and legal functions.
3. Skills Requirement and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in legal management, Law, Political Science, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in legal documentation, preferably in land acquisition
- Knowledge of land laws, real estate regulations, and documentation processes
- Strong legal drafting, review, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with landowners, government agencies, and internal teams
- Ability to sustain high performance and sound judgment under pressure, particularly in navigating intricate legal and land-related processes
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
