JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Network Administrator, one is expected to:

  • Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Provide network support across organizations.
  • Take responsibility for network projects and solutions within Hospital.
  • Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network computers.
  • Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
  • Perform network administration tasks e.g., Firewall policy adjustment, reporting of network issues to vendors, update network device firmware, etc.
  • Monitor network health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new network when needed.
  • Maintain internal network infrastructure requirements, including routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
  • Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all network connections and devices including offsite.
  • Provide recommendations to future network and security projects required for certifications and IT groups.

Technical Skills Required:

  1. Full understanding of the OSI and TCI/IP model.

  2. Enterprise VLAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing Protocols, NIC Teaming, Aggregated Connections, Spanning Tree, and Anti Loop Configurations knowledge.

  3. Network Switches Configuration and Management

  4. Wireless Access Points and Controller Configuration and Management

  5. Firewall Management

  6. Basic Server Administration Skills is a plus

  7. SSL Certificates and Business Domain Management

  8. Certifications are a plus. e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network +

  9. Network Cabinet Management Skills

  10. Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
