Job description

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, ignition systems, alternators, starters, relays, switches, and other electrical components of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, backhoes, and loaders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical servicing based on the equipment maintenance schedule.
  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment and determine repair or replacement needs.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and service manuals for accurate diagnosis and repair.
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Install and test new electrical systems and components as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.
  • Coordinate with mechanics, operators, and supervisors to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.
  • Monitor inventory of electrical parts and request replenishment as needed.
  • Perform field servicing and emergency repairs on-site when necessary.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, tool care, and safe working conditions in the workshop and job site.
