Job Summary:

Happy Hoisters, a trusted name in heavy equipment parts and service, is looking for a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Technician- Mechanic to join our growing team. The role involves performing accurate diagnostics, repairs, installation, and maintenance on a wide range of heavy equipment and trucks—including Howo, Volvo, Isuzu, and other lifting or construction machinery such as forklifts, cranes, loaders, and excavators.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with solid technical know-how who can work closely with our parts retail and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and timely service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy equipment and trucks (e.g., Howo, Volvo, Isuzu, forklifts, cranes, loaders, excavators, and other lifting or construction machinery) to identify the parts or components that require repair or replacement.
  • Install, fit, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using proper tools, service manuals, and technical expertise.
  • Work closely with the parts sales and inventory team to ensure the correct parts are identified, recommended, and installed based on equipment diagnosis.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs, ensuring all units meet manufacturer specifications and operational safety standards.
  • Assist in testing and calibration after repair or installation to confirm proper performance and functionality.
  • Provide technical advice and product knowledge to support sales, customer inquiries, and after-sales service.
  • Maintain detailed service reports and job cards, documenting diagnostics, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Inspect incoming or customer-owned units to assess condition, prepare estimates, and recommend parts replacement or service needs.
  • Ensure all work areas, tools, and equipment are clean, organized, and safe in compliance with company and industry safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous technical training and updates to stay familiar with new parts, systems, and heavy equipment models.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment or truck maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Vocational or technical training in automotive or mechanical technology is preferred.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing field service when required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills; customer-service oriented.

Job Type: Full-time
