About the Job

Ensure that the maintenance of all LBE equipment in Container Yard

  • Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of land-based equipment including heavy equipment such as forklifts and trucks, forwarding trucks and other equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues and collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan the activities for the day.
  • Create and validate service report to identify main issues and create a proper maintenance strategy to rectify problems.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of LBE.
  • Create maintenance checklists for routine inspections, lubrication, and component replacement
  • Able to monitor and verify vital information using the onboard and online telematics
  • Ensure all maintenance programs are executed according to plan and in a timely manner.
  • Determine the necessary resources (e.g., manpower, spare parts, tools) required for each defect order especially the priority works.
  • Manage and decide the spare parts inventory to ensure that critical components, spare parts, and consumables, are readily available for maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance and repair activities, including defect orders, equipment history, and inspection reports, man hour consumption.
  • Develop and implement procedures for responding to equipment breakdowns and emergencies
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, especially in a potentially hazardous environment like a container yard.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising equipment reliability or safety.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including PM Compliance, maintenance activities, lube consumption monitoring among others.
