Role Overview

We are looking for a Compliance Officer for Privacy to champion and embed Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles across the organization. This role will ensure that data privacy and protection requirements are fully integrated into business processes, systems, and projects, supporting the organization's commitment to safeguarding personal data and maintaining compliance with global privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and implement Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles across all organizational processes, systems, and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Information Security, Legal, IT, and Cybersecurity teams, to integrate privacy requirements into system design, application development, and business operations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects, product developments, system implementations, and business processes.
  • Recommend and oversee the implementation of technical and organizational measures to secure personal data.
  • Continuously assess, enhance, and maintain the organization's privacy framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and advise on compliance with local and international privacy regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, information security, or a related function.
  • Strong knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, with proven experience in implementing Privacy by Design.
  • Experience working in the telecommunications or technology industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Ability to assess complex privacy risks and recommend actionable solutions.
