Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and ethical Compliance Officer to ensure that our bank operates within the law and follows all internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will proactively monitor and report on compliance risks and provide expert advice on regulations such as AML, KYC, FATCA, and local financial laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes affecting the bank and ensure timely implementation.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits.
  • Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Investigate and report suspicious activity or breaches of compliance policies.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits.
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, or CIA are an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a compliance or risk role within the banking or financial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
