Basic Function

The GRC Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Governance, Risk, and Compliance framework in alignment with BSP regulations, AMLA requirements, ISO standards, and data privacy laws. The role ensures that the company operates in full regulatory compliance while effectively managing operational and enterprise risks.

This position is key to maintaining the integrity, accountability, and resilience of the organization in the highly regulated FinTech and EMI industry.

Essential Responsibilities

Governance, Risk, and Compliance Management

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of GRC policies, procedures, and control frameworks in accordance with BSP, AMLA, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify control gaps, and monitor the implementation of risk mitigation plans.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance readiness.
  • Prepare and present compliance dashboards, risk registers, and incident reports to management and the board.

Regulatory and Legal Compliance

  • Monitor and interpret BSP circulars, AMLA rules, and data privacy regulations applicable to FinTech and EMI operations.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and partner institutions on compliance matters.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory reports and disclosures.

Information Security and Quality Systems Compliance

  • Support and maintain compliance with information security and quality management systems (ISO 27001 / ISO 9001).
  • Coordinate with IT and Legal departments on risk controls, vendor management, and business continuity initiatives.

Awareness, Training, and Culture Building

  • Develop and conduct training programs to promote compliance and risk awareness across departments.
  • Advocate for a strong compliance culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.

Qualification Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
  • Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, ISO Lead Auditor, or AMLC Accreditation are highly preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management within the FinTech, EMI, banking, or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, internal audits, and ISO/QMS implementation.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of BSP regulations, AMLA compliance, Data Privacy Act, and ISO frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php35,000.00 per month
