EngineRoom is a digital growth agency helping ambitious brands scale smarter through data-driven marketing. We're looking for a Social Media Manager who thrives at the intersection of data, creativity, and strategy—someone who can manage and grow multiple client accounts while delivering measurable results across social channels.
You'll manage a portfolio of up to 6–7 clients, each with unique voices, goals, and opportunities to shine. This role is ideal for someone who's not just creating content—but crafting campaigns that connect, convert, and continuously improve through data and insight.
What You'll Do
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Use data to uncover performance patterns, understand audience behaviour, and extract actionable insights.
- Strategy Development: Turn data into strategy—guiding what to post, when, and why to achieve the best results.
- Campaign Management: Oversee paid and organic campaigns on Instagram and Facebook, from planning and budgeting to performance optimisation.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs like reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Reporting: Create clean, branded performance reports with insights and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of emerging trends, algorithms, and tools to keep your strategies cutting-edge.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, copywriters, and digital strategists to align campaigns with broader marketing goals.
What You'll Bring
1. Communication Excellence
- Strong writing and editing skills for crafting engaging, on-brand content.
- Confident verbal communication to present insights and strategies clearly.
2. Creative Capability
- Working knowledge of graphic design principles and tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Experience in video production and editing is a strong advantage.
3. Analytical Strength
- Skilled in interpreting analytics to refine strategies and boost performance.
- Understanding of SEO/SEM principles to enhance visibility and engagement.
4. Project & Time Management
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and campaigns simultaneously.
- Comfortable leading freelancers or coordinating with cross-functional teams.
5. Adaptability & Growth Mindset
- Proactive learner who stays current on evolving digital and social trends.
- Comfortable experimenting with new formats and tools to drive innovation.
6. Relationship & Client Care
- Exceptional customer service and community engagement skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with clients, collaborators, and influencers.
Experience & Background
- 3+ years' experience managing social media for brands or agencies.
- Proven track record in paid social campaign management, particularly Instagram Ads and Facebook Ads.
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Experience managing multiple clients (US and/or AUS experience preferable) and projects in a fast-paced environment.
