As an S2O Business Process Owner (m/f), you will play a key role in the Merck Business Services Procurement Functional Solutions organization, working closely with various stakeholders such as Group Procurement, Finance, Legal, Internal Controls, HR, IT and other organizations.

You will be responsible for collaborative design and communication of global processes and will drive process improvements to optimize processes and systems.

You will be responsible for defining roles and responsibilities for your area and will play a central role in the performance management process by defining KPIs and measuring process performance. You will be responsible for managing defined processes, documentation, controls and roles.

As an S2O Business Process Owner (m/f) you will play a key role in the Merck Business Services Procurement Functional Solutions organization, working closely with various stakeholders such as Group Procurement, Source 2 Pay GPO, Finance, Legal, HR, IT and other organizations.

How you will contribute:

STRATEGY

In close collaboration with stakeholders, develop and execute a comprehensive process strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide visionary leadership to the Procurement Operations team, driving continuous improvement, innovation, data integrity, best practices and cost effectiveness of operations. Position Functional Solution as a trusted partner, effectively managing stakeholders.

  • MANAGEMENT

Create an effective organizational structure that focuses on core skills for better and faster decision making, operations and improvement. Maintain and continuously improve span of control. Understand alignment needs within MBS (e.g., functional solution, CAO) and outside MBS (e.g., support functions).

  • PERFORMANCE

Build performance transparency and steer processes based on data, achieving agreed KPIs and productivity targets. Establish a sustainable process for daily management, problem solving and performance management. Drive productivity within the team and operate cross-functionally. Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, etc. and improve the quality and compliance of the delivered service. Improve quality, user experience and efficiency across the E2E organization by working with relevant business stakeholders.

PROCESSES & SYSTEMS

Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual interventions, optimizing end-to-end operations. Establish close collaboration with delivery and group purchasing teams to support process and systems strategies.
