The User Research Specialist plays a vital role in understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations to guide data-informed product and design decisions. This position is responsible for planning and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, turning insights into actionable recommendations that enhance the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive user research plans using both qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews, focus groups, diary studies, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral data analysis.
  • Develop a deep understanding of user needs, motivations, and pain points, and translate findings into actionable insights to support product and business goals.
  • Produce clear and structured research deliverables including insight reports, user personas, journey maps, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data, and Operations to ensure research findings are integrated into product development and feature improvements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve research roadmaps, method libraries, templates, and reusable research tools.
  • Participate in A/B testing and other experimental designs to assess how changes in user experience impact behavior and engagement.
  • Ensure that all research activities comply with ethical standards and data privacy regulations.

QUALIFICATION:

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Sociology, Behavioral Science, Data Analytics, or any related field.

Experience: At least 2 to 5 years of experience in user research, UX research, or related roles. Proven experience in designing and executing research studies independently is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Proficient in research and analysis tools such as SPSS, Excel, R, or Python; SQL knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experienced in creating personas, journey maps, task analyses, and scenario models.
  • Ability to design and interpret A/B tests and usability studies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills; able to turn complex research data into clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, particularly in explaining insights to non-research audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple studies simultaneously.

Language: Proficiency in English is preferred, especially for reading and interpreting research literature.

Personal Attributes: Empathetic, inquisitive, and results-driven. Naturally curious about user behavior and product improvement.

Work Location:

Must be willing to work onsite at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
