PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Records all Research & Development trial results (e.g. standard product/process specifications; documentation of recipes, formulation, etc.) and facilitates communication with internal partners (Accounting, Purchasing, and Commissary).
  2. Maintains regularly the recipe bible of R&D updates and action plans.
  3. Maintains product specifications and R&D production information on file ensuring that it is consistent, accurate and up-to-date.
  4. Supports and/or executes all or parts of recipe/formulation testing, as well as the creative process in discovering or furthering existing processes.
  5. Assists in the conceptualization of new product development, product and process improvements, cost optimization and product maintenance.
  6. Recommends processes or alternatives that can be used within new product development programs and other R&D activities that promotes innovation.
  7. Prepares yield computation including production costs when required by immediate supervisor.
  8. Assists in the determination of product usage information, including recommended and alternative cooking instructions.

  9. Prepares technical reports and makes necessary conclusions and recommendations.

  10. Coordinates and collaborates with other departments in the implementation of Food Safety and GMP.

  11. Facilitates food board for final cost, appearance, taste of a new product.
  12. Executes training for new items/changed formulations.

JOB QUALIFICATION

Education

A Graduate of BS in Food Technology or any related course.

Work Experience

With at least 1-year experience in the same field or its equivalent (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

Skills

  1. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  2. Ability to meet deadlines.
  3. Good written and oral communication skills.
  4. Computer proficient in word & excel.
  5. Knowledge in GMP and HACCP, Serve Safe Certification is a plus.
  6. Must be organized, resourceful, and trustworthy.
