Primary Responsibilities Negotiate contract prices with vendors to secure favorable terms and cost savings. Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and after-sales service. Ensure requested quantities comply with the minimum and maximum stock levels set by management. Verify that raw meat, vegetables, and fruits meet the quality and specifications established by the QA and R&D departments. Conduct training sessions for newly hired employees in the Purchasing Department. Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with QA, R&D, and Cost Control teams in conducting weekly market surveys. Maintain and regularly update a pool of qualified suppliers. Review purchase orders prepared by the Purchasing Clerk daily, ensuring that prices align with management’s approved cost parameters. Monitor open purchase orders to confirm complete delivery and coordinate timely closure. For partial deliveries, liaise with the Purchasing Clerk to determine follow-up requirements. Research and recommend alternative raw materials and ingredients to improve cost efficiency and quality.
