Job Summary:

The Engineering Staff is responsible for supporting the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems critical to manufacturing processes in a cosmetic and pharmaceutical environment. This role ensures that all electrical equipment complies with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting efficient and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, panels, wiring, and motor controls.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical infrastructure to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Provide electrical engineering support to compounding, filling lines, capping machines, and other production equipment.
  • Assist in the electrical installation and commissioning of new equipment or modifications.
  • Ensure electrical systems comply with local codes, GMP, FDA, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date electrical schematics, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
  • Support equipment validation from the electrical systems perspective.
  • Monitor and maintain facility power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and backup power systems.
  • Ensure uninterrupted power and controls for temperature, humidity, and pressure-sensitive processes.
  • Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and protection systems are in place.
  • Respond to electrical faults or equipment failures promptly and participate in root cause investigations.
  • Work closely with production, QA, validation, and maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and utility providers when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial electrical environment (preferably pharmaceutical or cosmetics).
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards
  • Proficient in using tools like AutoCAD Electrical and MS Office
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in GMP-regulated facilities.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom and classified area electrical requirements.
  • Experience with calibration and validation support.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and production floor (including cleanroom) environments.
  • May require use of PPE.
