Job Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring the preservation of the quality of loading goods for delivery to the customers. He ensures that routes per day are accomplished by the Driver and Helper.

Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery

  1. Coordinates with the Telemarketers and Pick and Pack Supervisors to address and resolve issues on deliveries;

  2. Ensures that dispatch of items are on-time and done in an efficient manner;

  3. Ensures that the quality of the product and delivery service is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer;

  4. Complies with the paperwork and execution of details, as directed by the Dispatch Supervisor; and

  5. Ensures quality procedures and GDSP quality targets are strictly adhered to.

Dispatch

  1. Ensures that boxes loaded in the delivery truck are in accordance with the route schedule and dispatch slips;

  2. Reports to the Dispatch Supervisor any concerns that will affect dispatch and delivery;

  3. Advises personnel about route or traffic problems;

  4. Reports to the Dispatch Supervisor materials and supplies required for dispatch activities and perform day to day administrative tasks.

Others

  1. Supports the Dispatch Supervisor and Operations Manager in developing programs, policies and procedures relative to the improvement of the Department and its services;

  2. Abides by the company rules and regulations implemented with regards to policies and procedures, quality management, and in the Employee's Handbook; and

  3. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Dispatch Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed for the Job)

Educational Requirements

  1. At least High School Graduate

Competency

  1. Has experience working in a distribution company

  2. At least 2-year experience in warehousing and logistics

Essentials

  1. Ability to work under work pressure

  2. Ability to work in long work hours.

Desirable

  1. Demonstrates attention to details and accuracy of work
