Duties & Responsibilities

The primary duty and responsibility of this Security Supervisor is to contribute to the delivery of Quality Patient Care and Safety, consistent with Makati Life Medical Center's Vision, Mission, and Values, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

The role involves performing both administrative and technical functions in supervising the operations of the Department, including but not limited to:

• Duty Officer
• Investigator
• CCTV Officer-in-Charge
• Transport/Traffic Officer-in-Charge
• Parking/Valet Officer-in-Charge

The position is also responsible for recommending and formulating policies, plans, and programs; monitoring and evaluating compliance with regulatory requirements; and ensuring adherence to local and international standards related to the implementation of the hospital's health and security management system. This includes overseeing training, operations, audits, and inspections related to facility security management and achieving set health, safety, and security performance targets.

The candidate will also assess, plan, and evaluate the competency of all security agency personnel and third-party contractors, and conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security hazards.

Specific Functions as Duty Officer

• Supervises the daily shift operations of the Department.
• Prepares the daily and weekly activity reports.
• Oversees orientation of new staff in assigned areas.
• Participates in coordination meetings for hospital activities and provides necessary assistance.
• Ensures all staff perform their duties and responsibilities during the tour of duty.
• Monitors attendance and punctuality of Security Officers and agency personnel.

As Investigator

• Conducts investigations on criminal incidents, security breaches, and related cases within the hospital premises.
• Performs background investigations upon HR's request.
• Acts as liaison officer with law enforcement agencies when required.
• Represents the hospital in hearings or court proceedings, in coordination with the Legal Department.
• Prepares comprehensive investigation reports for management action.

As CCTV Officer-in-Charge

• Supervises the daily operations of CCTV operators.
• Prepares weekly and monthly CCTV system status reports.
• Evaluates CCTV operators' performance.
• Ensures proper maintenance and functionality of CCTV equipment.
• Manages and stores CCTV footage in accordance with the Data Privacy Act.

As Lobby/Transport/Traffic Officer-in-Charge

• Oversees transport and security personnel assigned at the hospital driveway.
• Maintains smooth traffic flow within the hospital.
• Ensures proper post assignments during peak hours.
• Coordinates with law enforcement in vehicular incidents.

As Parking/Valet Officer-in-Charge

• Supervises the daily operations of parking and valet services.
• Ensures orderly flow of vehicles in basement and valet areas.
• Provides assistance during peak hours.
• Coordinates with law enforcement for vehicular incidents.

Other Functions

• Designs and implements training programs and competency assessments for agency security personnel.
• Reviews and refines policies, plans, and programs to continuously improve the hospital's Security Management Program.
• Ensures compliance with hospital-wide policies on document control and information security.
• Participates in operational planning and budget preparation.
• Monitors and maintains departmental performance consistent with hospital objectives.
• Participates in hospital-wide fire drills and simulations, providing recommendations for evacuation procedures.
• Provides technical and administrative assistance to other departments as needed.
• Prepares reports, data analysis, and documentation required by management.
• Provides security and protection during hospital-wide events and activities.
• Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of security systems and recommends improvements.
• Keeps immediate superior informed of all activities, needs, and concerns within assigned areas.

Physical Requirement

• Must have the ability to assist and lift patients weighing up to 100 kilograms as part of emergency and safety response duties.

• Must have License to Exercise Security Profession (LESP)
