A senior project control and monitoring role involves managing and overseeing a project's entire lifecycle by developing and implementing strategies for cost, schedule, and risk management. Key responsibilities include establishing baselines, monitoring performance, conducting data analysis to identify trends, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders, and providing guidance to project teams. The role requires strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement project control strategies, policies, and procedures to guide the project controls function.
- Baseline Management:

Oversee the establishment of project baselines for cost, schedule, and resources, ensuring continuity between bids and project execution.
- Performance Monitoring:

Track project timelines, milestones, cost expenditures, and production outputs to ensure alignment with the project plan.
- Risk & Change Management:

Lead risk management activities, identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and manage the project change control process.
- Reporting & Analysis:

Generate detailed project performance reports, dashboards, and updates for senior management and stakeholders, including key metrics like Earned Value, SPI, and CPI.
- Resource Management:

Manage the resource allocation process to ensure effective and efficient utilization of project resources.
- Guidance & Support:

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams on project control processes and procedures.
- Compliance:

Ensure project compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • With PRC Licensed of Civil Engineering
  • Experience:

Several years of experience in project monitoring, preferably in sectors like construction or telecommunications.
- Technical Proficiency:

Strong proficiency in project control software, such as Oracle Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word).
- Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive project success.
- Leadership & Communication:

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to interact with project managers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational and reporting skills to maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Problem-Solving:

Creative problem-solving skills to address construction and budget issues.
- Education:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Engineering or Project Management is often required.
