SHIFT SUPERVISORJob Summary

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow, quality service, and compliance with food safety and operational standards. The role includes supervising staff performance, managing customer service, and supporting the Store Manager in achieving daily targets and store objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily store operations during assigned shift.
  • Ensure smooth handover between shifts and proper documentation in shift logs.
  • Monitor food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness according to company standards.
  • Ensure all store policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols are followed.
  • Report any equipment malfunction or facility concern to the Store Manager.

2. Staff Supervision

  • Assign tasks and delegate duties to team members during the shift.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure productivity, proper grooming, and adherence to company rules.
  • Conduct on-the-spot coaching or feedback to maintain service quality.
  • Support training and orientation of new employees.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure high-quality service and quick resolution of customer inquiries or complaints.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere in the store.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer experience.

4. Inventory and Cash Handling

  • Monitor usage of supplies and report low stocks or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
  • Supervise product receiving, storage, and issuance during the shift.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, including sales reconciliation and deposit preparation.

5. Food Safety and Sanitation

  • Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Conduct regular checks of temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and proper food handling practices.
  • Ensure waste segregation and proper disposal of garbage.

6. Reporting and Coordination

  • Prepare shift reports, including incidents, sales summary, and staff attendance.
  • Coordinate closely with the Store Manager for operational updates and improvement plans.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and audits.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • College level or graduate of Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or any related course.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of supervisory or team leader experience in Fast Food or hospitality operations.
  • Experience in cash handling, inventory management, and staff supervision preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, GMP, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and POS operations.

Personal Attributes:

  • Reliable, organized, and proactive.
  • Can work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
  • Flexible with working hours and shifts.
