Electrical Engineer - (EV Industry)

Salary: PHP 50,000 – 70,000 per month

Work Setup: Hybrid (occasional travel required)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves the design, integration, and validation of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems for electric vehicles, along with creating technical documentation to support service and aftersales teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Electric Vehicle (EV) electrical systems, strong expertise in wiring harness design, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical documentation. This role offers a chance to work on electric vehicle technology with global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design & Integration

  • Design and integrate HV and LV systems, including wiring harnesses, connectors, power distribution units (PDUs), and vehicle control modules.
  • Develop electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and harness layouts using E-CAD tools
  • Support prototype builds and commissioning of EV electrical systems such as battery packs, inverters, motors, and charging systems.
  • Perform electrical testing and diagnostics, including HV safety tests and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component specification compliance and quality standards.

Diagnostics & Documentation

  • Troubleshoot and resolve field electrical issues, implementing design improvements
  • Prepare and maintain service manuals, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Produce technical reports, homologation documentation, and repair procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure documentation follows 
    Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100)
     and version control protocols.

Training & Support

  • Develop training materials and installation guides for after-sales technicians and field teams.
  • Provide technical expertise during system commissioning and service activities.

Requirements:

Electrical Engineering

  • Expertise in vehicle electrical architecture, CAN/LIN bus communication, and ECU integration.
  • Deep understanding of EV-specific components such as BMS, OBC, and DC fast charging protocols (CCS2, CHAdeMO).
  • Hands-on experience with wiring harness design, routing, and electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of functional safety and HV safety standards.

Software Proficiency

  • E-CAD:
     AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA EHI, SolidWorks Electrical, Zuken E3.
  • PLM/PDM:
     Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill.
  • Simulation:
     MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, PSpice.
  • Documentation:
     Adobe FrameMaker, MS Visio, SolidWorks Composer.
