About the role

The 3PL Sourcing Generalist - Transport is responsible in sourcing third party truckers and ensures to contribute the achievement of the company's financial and growth strategy and profit objectives. He/she will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the entire sourcing activities and deployment of accredited subcon trucker with approved customer rates for route identified by Business Development Lead. He/she shall develop sourcing plan and strategy in order to achieve the set of KPIs including to reach the revenue objective and attain overall operational efficiency that will support the profitability target under the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

What you'll be doing

  • Perform the daily activities of 3PL section such as probing and sourcing of Subcon Truckers via social media, Trucker's Network Association, field work and endorsement from co-employee. Devise a dynamic approach and strategy.
  • Conduct actual assessment based on Subcon Trucker's Profiling, make garage ocular visit and perform road worthiness inspection.
  • Present Business Opportunity Proposal to Subcon with a clear and vibrant approach. Buying Rates, Standard Terms and Conditions and Operations shall be discussed together with the size and amount of Business offered.
  • Ensure that the deployment of subcon truckers for specific customer accounts as tagged by BD Lead and conforms to the prescribe process with proper documentation and have complied with the standard accreditation process.
  • Collaborate and gather Information with Operations Department regarding Operations Process of Clients to ensure clarity with the discussion and presentation with Subcon Truckers.
  • Deliver the trucker's annual and periodic sourcing target.
  • Collaborate with Billing and Pricing and get the data needed for Subcon Presentations.
  • Processing of Accreditation and MOA will be conducted face to face with Truckers.
  • Sees to it that trucker's service performance compliance adheres to set standard by the client.

  2. Minimum of 2 years job related experience.
  3. Proficient in the use MS Office applications
  4. Data analysis and reporting
  5. Knowledgeable in logistics operations
  6. Above average communication skills, people skills, presentation skills.
  7. Above average leadership, analytical and negotiation skills.
  8. Adaptability in a fast paced environment and organization.
  9. Willingness to learn and open to feedback, training and opportunities for growth.
