JOB PURPOSE

The Transport Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the timely and efficient dispatch of packages from the Distribution Center and ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. This role ensures that all dispatch activities are executed in alignment with operational schedules, safety standards, and service level agreements.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in transport/logistics dispatch is required.

A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for truck booking and positioning of 3PL's fleet based on operational requirements.

  2. Plan and schedule the daily dispatch of deliveries (Retail – Brick and Mortar, Ecom – Marketplace, Dotcom, BOPIS, etc.)

  3. Maintain direct communication with forwarder partners to address any dispatch issues (system or BAU) and concerns that arise promptly.

  4. Ensure that dispatch documents are properly acknowledged and archived for future reference.

  5. Use dispatch software or systems to track package enrollment and delivery milestones.

Experience with any dispatch system is required to effectively track package enrollment and delivery milestones.

  1. Handle urgent or emergency dispatch requests and adjust schedules as needed.

  2. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and safety protocols.
