General Statement of Duties:

The Purchasing Manager will oversee the full procurement cycle for medical devices, consumables, and spare parts. This includes sourcing from local and international suppliers, coordinating with brokers and freight forwarders, and ensuring timely, cost-efficient, and compliant delivery of shipments. The role also works closely with warehouse, logistics, sales, service, technical, and regulatory teams to monitor inventory levels, support operational needs, and maintain supplier partnerships that secure the best terms, quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase medical devices, spare parts, and consumables from local and international suppliers
  • Coordinate with brokers and freight forwarders on importation and exportation processes.
  • Ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of shipments
  • Build and manage strong supplier relationships to secure favorable terms and reliable service.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to optimize cost and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Track market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven procurement experience, preferably in healthcare or medical device distribution.
  • Strong background in managing foreign suppliers, including contract negotiations and vendor management.
  • 2–3 years of experience working with brokers and shipping companies for international logistics.
  • Experience in securing and managing Bureau of Customs (BOC) importation licenses.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, procurement best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
