Position Purpose

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, supplier development, and cost optimization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Secure reliable suppliers to support bid/tender processes and source new vendors based on customer specifications.
  • Monitor market and cost trends to optimize procurement decisions.

2. Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular meetings and evaluations.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost competitiveness.
  • Maintain alternative sourcing strategies (Plan A/Plan B) to reduce risks and enhance proposals.

3. Team Management & Supervision

  • Lead and supervise the Procurement Team (2 staff) and Logistics Staff (1 staff).
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluation for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and operational standards.

4. Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain effective purchasing systems, documentation, and supplier databases.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and supplier performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience in a related industry (industry-specific background required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong supplier network and proven negotiation skills.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience in procurement and logistics management.
  • High integrity, accountability, and strong business acumen.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month
