Job Brief

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Clerk to support financial operations on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is looking to contribute meaningfully while maintaining a part-time schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, and general administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, manage payments, and maintain customer and vendor accounts

  • Manage payroll processing on a fortnightly basis via Xero

  • Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations

  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records

  • Enter financial transactions into Xero and ensure data accuracy

  • Assist with preparing financial reports including expense summaries and management reports

  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Director as needed

  • Assist with tax compliance by supporting external tax accountants

  • Support annual budgeting processes and expense tracking

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Accounts Clerk or Bookkeeping role

  • Minimum 3 years' experience using Xero, including payroll processing

  • Prior experience with Cin7Core is preferred

  • Understanding of Australian payroll and tax compliance

  • Experience working within RFID systems or Data Engineering industries (preferred)

Desirable:

  • Prior experience working with small businesses or managing multiple responsibilities

  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and process optimisation

Software Proficiency:

  • Xero (including payroll)

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Cin7Core (preferred)

Education:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field

Personal Attributes:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Clear and professional communication skills

  • Reliable, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities

Time Zone: Australian Business Hours
