Job Summary
The Live Poultry Sales Executive is responsible for sourcing and selling live poultry by closely monitoring market prices, coordinating with live poultry suppliers, securing competitive supply, and ensuring smooth execution from order placement to collection. This role requires strong market knowledge, an established network of live poultry sellers, and a high level of integrity due to the nature of price-sensitive and relationship-driven transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Market Price Monitoring & Intelligence
Monitor daily live poultry market prices and movements.
- Gather market intelligence through calls, field checks, and supplier engagement.
- Provide regular updates to management on pricing trends, supply availability, and market risks.
Sourcing & Order Execution
Contact live poultry sellers using an established network to sell at competitive prices.
- Negotiate pricing and volumes within company-approved guidelines.
- Secure orders and coordinate closely with operations/logistics to ensure smooth delivery and execution.
Sales & Account Management
Manage assigned customer accounts requiring live poultry supply.
- Ensure accuracy of orders, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers while protecting company margins.
Collections & Credit Control
Ensure timely collection of receivables in accordance with agreed payment terms.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and escalate collection risks to management when necessary.
Compliance, Ethics & Integrity
Conduct all transactions in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strictly avoid conflicts of interest, kickbacks, or any form of unethical pricing practices.
- Maintain transparency in pricing negotiations and supplier dealings, with proper documentation and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in live poultry selling or trading, preferably within the local poultry industry.
- Strong understanding of live poultry market dynamics, pricing drivers, and supply cycles.
- Established network of live poultry suppliers and industry contacts.
- Proven experience in sales negotiation, order execution, and collections.

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, price-volatile environment.
- Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting discipline.
- Willingness to be hands-on and mobile (field calls, supplier visits, market checks).
