Cloud Solutions Architect Manager

The Cloud Solutions Architect Manager supports and oversees the daily activities of the Cloud Solutions Architect team, focusing on the execution of designs and the implementation of cloud solutions across various projects.

This role ensures that architectural designs align with organizational standards and customer requirements while addressing project-specific challenges. This role provides hands-on guidance, monitors team performance, and acts as a key liaison between architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. This role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, a strong understanding of business requirements, and the ability to translate those requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.

Qualifications:

Education

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.

● Cloud certifications are highly preferred (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Experience:

● At least 5 years of experience in cloud services, IT support, or a related field, with 2-3 years in a management or leadership role.

● Strong experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

● Proven managing skills in technical support teams and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Skills:

● In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, including cloud infrastructure, networking, and network security best practices.

● Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage a diverse technical team.

● Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Job Description:

● Team Supervision and Coordination:

○ Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Cloud Solutions Architect team, ensuring efficient workload distribution and task completion.

○ Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to team members during the design and implementation phases of projects.

● Design and Implementation Support:

○ Review architectural designs created by the team to ensure they meet technical requirements, project goals, and organizational standards.

○ Participate in the design of complex or high-priority cloud solutions, providing hands-on expertise when necessary.

○ Coordinate with Delivery Engineers to ensure designs are implemented as intended and address any deviations promptly.

● Quality Assurance and Compliance:

○ Ensure all architectural designs and implementations adhere to security, scalability, and performance best practices.

○ Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

○ Conduct periodic reviews of completed projects to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.

● Stakeholder Collaboration:

○ Act as a point of contact for technical discussions with customers, ensuring their requirements are understood and incorporated into designs.

○ Collaborate with Project Managers, Delivery Engineers, and other stakeholders to address design-related challenges during project execution.

○ Provide technical insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

● Team Development and Knowledge Sharing:○ Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of cloud architecture.

○ Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to disseminate best practices, new technologies, and lessons learned across the team.○ Identify skill gaps within the team and recommend training or development initiatives to address them.

● Process Improvement:

○ Contribute to the refinement of architectural processes, templates, and guidelines to enhance efficiency and consistency.

○ Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends to incorporate innovative solutions into architectural designs.
