JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for operating metalworking machinery and equipment to cut, shape, fabricate, or assemble metal components according to specifications. Ensures quality, safety, and efficiency in production while adhering to operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation
  • Operate metal working machines
  • Set up machines according to specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure proper operation.

Quality Control

  • Inspect finished metal products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify defects or deviations and report to supervisor.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines (lubrication, cleaning, inspection).
  • Keep the work area and machinery clean and organized.

Safety Compliance

  • Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, face shield, apron, etc.) at all times.
  • Follow safety guidelines and operational procedures to prevent accidents.

Material Handling

  • Load and unload finished products safely.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of finished products.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with team members and supervisors regarding production progress and issues.
  • Report machine malfunctions, safety hazards, or production delays promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Experience operating metalworking machinery or in metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or work orders.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet production targets.
