About the role

Polystar General Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Engineer to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, contributing to the overall comfort and safety of our tenants.

What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment
  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address any issues proactively
  3. Liaise with external contractors and vendors to coordinate major repairs or upgrades
  4. Monitor and analyse building performance data to optimise energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  5. Respond to and resolve tenant requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  7. Maintain detailed records and documentation of all building maintenance activities

What we're looking for

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a related role within the building services engineering industry
  2. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field
  3. Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  4. Proficiency in interpreting and applying building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with tenants, contractors, and management
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
