About the role

ONE LAFAYETTE SQUARE CONDOMINIUM is seeking an experienced Building Engineer to join our team. As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our condominium building located in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that requires on-site presence to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of the building's systems and infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of the building's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Oversee the work of external contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed to the required standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address any potential issues before they arise
  • Respond to and resolve any emergencies or urgent building-related issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
  • Collaborate with the property management team to ensure the building's operations align with the condominium's policies and procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to residents as needed

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar role within a commercial or residential property
  • Proficient knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with residents, contractors, and the property management team
  • Familiarity with building management software and systems
