As a Building Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our commercial/residential properties. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to tenant requests and emergencies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and installations.
  • Monitor building systems and implement energy conservation measures to reduce operational costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects and renovations as required.
  • Participate in regular meetings with property management team to discuss operational issues and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, equipment rooms, and common areas.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • At least 2-3 years experience in the same role
  • Proven experience as a Building Engineer or similar role, preferably in commercial or residential property management.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Willing to work from Monday to Saturday
