Job Summary:

The Supply Planning Officer is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of inputs (feeds. chicks, vaccines, and farm supplies) and the timely delivery of outputs (live birds) in alignment with production schedules of the broiler farm. The role focuses on balancing supply and demand, coordinating with hatchery, feed mill, farm operations, and processing plant to optimize resources, reduce costs, and achieve production targets while complying with regulatory and biosecurity requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supply & Demand Planning

  2. Develop weekly and monthly supply plans for day-old chicks (DOC), feeds, vaccines, and farm consumables based on production schedules.

  3. Forecast requirements for live bird deliveries to dressing plant or customers in coordination with sales and operations.

  4. Monitor variance between forecast vs. actual consumption and adjust plans accordingly.

  5. Inventory & Resource Management

  6. Track and maintain inventory levels of feeds, medicines, vaccines, and farm materials.

  7. Ensure safety stocks are maintained to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

  8. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for timely replenishment of farm inputs.

  9. Farm Operations Coordination

  10. Align production schedules with farm capacity, placement of DOCs, and harvest timing.

  11. Monitor bird growth cycle and adjust feed allocations and harvest planning.

  12. Coordinate transfer schedules of live birds to processing plant based on demand and plant capacity.

  13. Data Management & Reporting

  14. Prepare and update supply planning reports (feed allocation, chick placement, mortality trends, harvest forecast).

  15. Maintain records of supply movement and consumption for audit and traceability.

  16. Provide weekly and monthly KPI reports to management.

  17. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  18. Liaise with hatchery for chick allocation, feed mill for production scheduling, and processing plant for harvest planning.

  19. Coordinate with veterinary team for vaccine and medication requirements.

  20. Support procurement team by providing accurate forecasts of farm input needs.

  21. Compliance & Biosecurity

  22. Ensure planning activities comply with government regulations (DA, BAI, NMIS).

  23. Follow biosecurity protocols in handling and distributing farm supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in supply planning, preferably in poultry or livesto industry.
  • Knowledge of broiler production cycle, feed management, and farm operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of ERP or farm management software is an advantage.
