Job Title: Accounting Manager (CPA Licensed)

Location: Makati

Department: Finance / Accounting

Work setup: Full- Onsite, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager with a CPA license is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves managing accounting staff, preparing financial statements, supporting audit processes, and implementing effective financial controls to support the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring timely and accurate audit deliverables.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal policies.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

  • Review and approve journal entries, financial reports, and other accounting documents.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff.

  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • CPA license is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with financial audits and regulatory reporting.

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.

  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
