WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  1. Evaluates and prepares the testing program for students.

  2. Interprets psychological tests and other appraisal devices given to the students.

  3. Plans the research program and conducts local researchers to determine not only the students' needs but also the effectiveness of the guidance program and the curriculum of the school.

  4. Gives individual counseling assigned to him/her.

  5. Prepares group guidance program for the year level assigned to him/her.

  6. Keeps himself/herself abreast of current trends in guidance and counseling by joining professional organization, attending workshops, seminars, conferences, guidance meetings in and outside school, and by subscribing to professional books and journals in guidance and counseling.

  7. Prepares periodic and annual reports on functions assigned to him/her.

  8. Assists in evaluating office procedures and policies and/or updating the guidance manual.

Qualifications:

Academic

  • With MA/MS Degree in Guidance and Counseling
  • Licensed/ Registered Guidance Counselor

Work Experience

  • with atleast three (3) years experience as a Guidance Counselor
