Job Title: School Counselor (College Level LUC)

Department: Guidance and Counseling Center

Job Summary:

The school counselor provides professional counseling services and programs that foster the academic, personal, social, and career development of college students. The RGC ensures that all guidance services align with ethical standards and educational goals of the institution, and are compliant with CHED guidelines and the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004 (RA 9258).

Qualifications:

Licensure: Must be a Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC) licensed by the PRC or at least completed academic requirements in Masters Studies.

Education: Master's Degree in Education major in Guidance and Counseling or at least completed academic requirements of master's degree.

Experience: At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Counselor in a Higher Education Institution (HEI).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with CHED policies, developmental counseling models, and mental health initiatives in higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

Counseling Services

Provide individual and group counseling to address students' academic, personal, emotional, and social concerns.

Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all counseling sessions.

Student Development Programs

Design, implement, and evaluate student support programs (e.g., career planning, values formation, mental health awareness).

Facilitate workshops, seminars, and psychoeducation sessions.

Testing and Assessment

Administer and interpret psychological and career assessments to support student self-awareness and development.

Prepare individual reports and guidance profiles.

Case Management and Referral

Monitor and document student progress through counseling interventions.

Refer students to external mental health professionals when necessary.

Consultation and Collaboration

Work with faculty, staff, and parents to address student issues and support academic success.

Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences when needed.

Records and Reports

Maintain accurate, confidential records and submit regular reports to the Head of Student Affairs or Guidance Director.

Assist in compliance with institutional audits and CHED evaluations.

Program Evaluation and Research

Participate in the evaluation and enhancement of guidance services through needs assessments and research initiatives.

Work Conditions:

Full-time position, regular office hours with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.

May require attendance at institutional events, trainings, or off-campus seminars.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php32, Php40,000.00 per month
