Company Overview

We are a multidisciplinary interior design award-winning boutique firm looking for a Technical Design Manager to be a key part of delivering successful projects alongside our Dubai office. We are seeking passionate and hard-working professionals with extensive experience in technical design who are interested in advancing their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Oversight: Lead and manage the technical design process, ensuring high-quality detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD or other design software.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, manage schedules, and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure successful delivery within budget and time constraints.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior designers, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure the design intent is achieved and technical standards are maintained.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve technical challenges during the design and implementation phases of the project.
  • Quality Control: Review and approve technical drawings and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members in developing their technical skills and understanding of project delivery.
  • Standards Management: Establish and maintain company technical standards, protocols, and best practices for consistent project delivery.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical design, with significant exposure to commercial, hospitality, and residential interior projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven portfolio of technically detailed interior design or architecture projects.
  • Exceptional drawing and detailing skills, with a thorough understanding of construction techniques, materials, and finishes.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with visualization tools.
  • Ability to lead technical coordination meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • A proactive leader with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle fast-paced project demands and tight deadlines.

Remote Work Requirements:

  • Must be online in sync with the Manila team and Dubai team, as required.
  • Reliable DSL/Cable connection (Wimax, Canopy, Dongles, etc., are not allowed).
  • A decent headset and webcam for clear communication.
  • Comfortable using MS Teams or Zoom for meetings and collaboration.
