Contractor Title: Senior Technical Writer

The Senior Technical Writer will assist Developer Experience Team (DevX) to properly manage the documentation life cycle including multi-media/communication material of the team. He/she would act as the document authority/administrator and Graphic Designer within DevX.

  1. Documentation Development and Management

  2. Draft, develop and maintain the product delivery life cycle operations documentation in collaboration with DevX team, and the different units and divisions in ITD.

  3. Draft, develop and maintain new documents required like technical diagrams, flowcharts, flyers, presentations, other materials for user (IT and non-IT) training

  4. Organize, store and manage updated documentation required for audit and compliance purposes

  5. Coordinate with various groups in the circulation, revision, approval and publication of documents developed

  6. Attend meetings to draft/develop, revise and finalize the content, flow and format of documents based on ITD templates

  7. Graphic Designing:

  8. Translate team needs and requirements into impactful presentations and materials.

  9. Develop, edit and improve upon existing communication materials which includes reports, illustrations, playbooks, infographics, presentations and SharePoint site

Learning and Training Content Creation:

  • Responsible for the design and development of instructional and content for learning videos in coordination with other DevX team members

Manage and administer eLearning content libraries and Learning Management System such as Percipio and Indigo or any platform available for DevX to use

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in English communications- or IT-related field

Minimum of 6 years' experience working with IT professionals with a solid background in developing process documentation

Technical Knowledge

Proficient in creating graphics and media material

Proficient in using graphical tools like Visio and multimedia tools

Experience in developing end user training course and on-line help screens

Experience with developing IT processes and procedures

Familiarity with IT frameworks such ITIL, projects (Prince2 or PMP) and Agile

Soft Skills

Ability to quickly learn a comprehensive set of IT-related concepts and workflows

Strong English written and oral communication skills

Tools/Software

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Onedrive, Teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php85, Php130,000.00 per month
