Position Overview

The Heavylift Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy-lifting equipment such as cranes, forklifts, reach stackers, top lifts, and other specialized machinery used for handling oversized or heavy cargo. The role ensures efficient cargo movement while strictly following safety guidelines, operational procedures, and equipment maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Equipment Operation

  • Operate heavy-lifting machinery (e.g., mobile cranes, gantry cranes, reach stackers) for loading, unloading, and transferring heavy or oversized cargo.
  • Follow standardized operating procedures and site-specific safety rules.
  • Maneuver equipment in tight or complex environments with precision.

2. Cargo Handling

  • Ensure proper rigging, securing, and lifting of cargo based on weight and material type.
  • Coordinate with signalmen, spotters, and loading teams to execute lifts safely.
  • Inspect lifting gear, slings, hooks, spreader bars, and other rigging tools before use.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct pre-operation and post-operation equipment checks.
  • Report defects, hazards, or irregularities immediately.
  • Comply with company safety policies, PPE requirements, and national standards (e.g., DOLE, OSH).
  • Participate in toolbox meetings and safety drills.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate logbooks and equipment usage reports.
  • Record fuel consumption, maintenance issues, and daily performance outputs.
  • Assist in incident or near-miss investigations when required.

5. Maintenance Support

  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and minor troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for servicing or repairs.
  • Ensure equipment is parked, secured, and shut down properly after operations.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or vocational course completion preferred.
  • Valid NC II or relevant TESDA certification (e.g., Crane Operator, Forklift NC II/III).
  • At least 1–3 years of experience operating heavy-lifting equipment in logistics, port operations, construction, or industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of rigging, lifting signals, and load calculations an advantage.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor or shifting environments.

Project Assigned at CAVITE / PAMPANGA / CEBU / LAGUNA / TARLAC
