About the role

As the Trucking Services Manager at JG Manpower & General Contractor Services Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's trucking operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods. What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate the company's fleet of trucks, including scheduling, routing, and maintenance
  • Oversee the transportation of goods to and from client sites, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with safety regulations
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise trucking operations, including cost-saving measures and process improvements
  • Liaise with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand transportation needs and provide solutions
  • Manage and train a team of truck drivers and logistics coordinators, ensuring high levels of performance and customer service
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies governing transportation and logistics

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the transportation or logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, fleet management, and logistics operations
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with supply chain management principles and experience in process improvement
  • Proficient in using transportation management software and data analysis tools
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field
