Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Livestream Specialist to lead the planning, setup, execution, and optimization of live video broadcasts across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in livestreaming software and hardware, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure during live events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute livestream events across platforms such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Instagram, Twitch, LinkedIn Live, and Zoom/Webinar tools
  • Set up and operate livestreaming equipment including cameras, encoders, audio mixers, lighting, and switchers
  • Monitor livestream quality and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time
  • Collaborate with content creators, marketing teams, event organizers, and technical staff to ensure a smooth broadcast
  • Manage pre- and post-production elements including countdowns, overlays, transitions, and VOD (video-on-demand) archiving
  • Optimize livestream content for viewer engagement and reach, including use of captions, thumbnails, and titles
  • Track and report livestream performance metrics such as viewership, engagement, and retention
  • Stay up to date with the latest livestream technologies, trends, and platform updates
  • Ensure compliance with copyright, privacy, and broadcasting guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience managing live video productions, events, or broadcasts
  • Proficiency in livestreaming software such as OBS, Streamlabs, Wirecast, vMix, or Restream
  • Familiarity with video/audio hardware (DSLRs, camcorders, audio interfaces, microphones, lighting kits)
  • Understanding of encoding, bandwidth requirements, RTMP protocols, and troubleshooting network issues
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by live events

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience streaming to multiple platforms simultaneously
  • Graphic design or motion graphics experience for overlays and branding
  • Knowledge of video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Experience with interactive livestream elements (polls, chats, integrations)
  • Background in gaming, events, worship, education, or corporate livestreams
