JOB SUMMARY

  • The QS Cost Control Manager is responsible in maintaining the project's financial health through preparation of cost reports and analysis to the Project Team and other company stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead QS Cost Control team across multiple project sites
  • Prepare baseline budgets, BOQ, BOM, and TOR based on scope and drawings
  • Monitor actual costs vs. approved budgets; analyze and report financial data
  • Manage contractor billing and validate supporting documents
  • Coordinate revenue recognition with Planning Team
  • Evaluate change orders, claims, and time extensions
  • Execute budget transfers and supplemental requests
  • Compile consolidated cost monitoring reports
  • Oversee project contract management and commercial negotiations
  • Provide cost analysis and recommendations for project decisions
  • Ensure team productivity, efficiency, and workload balance
  • Consolidate data for reporting and presentations
  • Perform additional cost control and execution duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  1. Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering field from a reputable College or University.
  2. Must have relative experience working in General Contractors and Consultancy firms as a Quantity Surveyor
  3. Minimum 7 years work experience as Cost Control, Commercial or QS Engineer and has held supervisory role for at least 2 years.
  4. Intermediate level of proficiency with SAP, MS Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD
  5. Expert level of proficiency in MS Excel
  6. Preferably knowledgeable in Procore, Smartsheet or Oracle PPM.
  7. Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  8. Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
