Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team, responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple construction projects. You will play a key role in cost planning, risk management, and ensuring that projects are delivered on budget and within contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
  • Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor appointment.
  • Evaluate and manage subcontractor payments, claims, and variations.
  • Conduct regular cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Collaborate with site and project teams to ensure efficient cost control.
  • Mentor and guide junior QS staff where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineer, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with at least 3 years at a senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC, FIDIC).
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Proficient in cost management software (e.g., CostX, CATO, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Effective leadership and team management.
