Accounting Officer

Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, and monthly closing reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and schedules.
Audit & Compliance
- Assist in both internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and government regulations.
- Identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and help improve accounting processes.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Review, verify, and process supplier invoices and expense reimbursements.
- Ensure timely payment to suppliers and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Monitor outstanding payables and prepare aging reports.
- Coordinate with vendors and other departments for invoice and payment concerns.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare and issue billing invoices to clients and monitor collection schedules.
- Record customer payments and reconcile AR accounts regularly.
- Follow up with clients for overdue balances and maintain updated aging reports.
- Support management in evaluating credit and collection performance.
Other Tasks
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation for easy retrieval.
- Support budget preparation and cost monitoring activities.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- At least (2-5) two to five years in General Acctg/Bookkeeping, AR, AP
- Had an experience working in a Hotel Industry is advantageous
- BIR Dealings from Filing to Report related (ITR, AFS and the like).
- Strong competitive personality that's Output oriented
- Able to handle a fast paced environment, adaptable, very keen to details, can learn independently and have a exemplary decision making skills when the need arises
- Can devote his/her time considerably and will have no issues as to attendance and punctuality
- Eager to learn new things not Acctg related but beneficial in Acctg
- Committed, dedicated, passionate with Acctg and with good attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
